In order to improve the heat resistance and mechanical strength of the phenolic resin bond in diamond grinding tools, various fillers are added to achieve the purpose of modifying the phenolic resin during the preparation process of the resin grinding tools.  If copper powder is added,  the heat resistance of the resin can be improved;the addition of zinc oxide, chromium oxide and other substances can improve the mechanical strength of the resin ; the addition of soft materials such as flake graphite and molybdenum disulfide can improve the grinding of the resin bond The grinding performance of the tool has a very good improvement effect.

But the most effective way to improve the performance of phenolic resins is to add organic modifiers.  This may be because organic substances are more compatible with phenolic resins in terms of material structure and surface properties than inorganic substances.
